Joyce,
I’m so sorry for your loss, these events are never timely and this one in particular.
I met first Mike when he was still work with IBEW and he was working on a project at Upjohn in the building I worked in. Somehow we started talking about the shooting sports and really hit it off. We spent several years running all over several states, and even Canada in various shooting competitions.
That of course evolved into several hunting trips for elk, caribou and moose.
Not mention all the deer and Turkey hunting in Michigan and Iowa.
Once on a walleye fishing trip on Lake Erie with Mike and friend Mike Ryskamp, we had to run into the waves several miles and got totally drenched by the water splashing into the boat while heading back into the launch. It would have been impossible to get any wetter even if we jumped overboard. We were just laughing like crazy and had a wonderful time, just three good friends having the best of times, not a care in the world! Oh what fun we had!!!
No matter what Mike got interested in, he gave it his full undivided attention and mastered it beyond doubt!
Many great times with him, I just hope he’s saving me a seat in “The Great Duck Blind”!
