Michael A. Pelkey

Michael A. Pelkey, 65, of South Catherine Street, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on March 27, 1957, the son of late Maynard and Barbara (Rivers) Pelkey.
Michael was employed by several area pet stores over the years. He had a passion for animals, especially tropical fish. He enjoyed fishing, wrestling, music, and assembling Star Trek models.
He is survived by his siblings and their spouses; Kathy and Bernard Lashway of Mooers, Tina Simpson and family of Plattsburgh, Terry and Mona Pelkey of New Mexico, Timothy and Susan Pelkey of Champlain, his aunt Dot Pelkey of Mooers, his aunt and uncle; Sharon and Matteo Guiffre of Massachusetts, and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Todd Pelkey, his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Ellenburg Town Mausoleum.
