Michael Peterson

Michael Alan Peterson, age 47, of Pequot Lakes, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was born to Dennis Peterson and Debbie Stetler on April 7, 1976, in Brainerd, MN. Michael served in the Army National Guard for numerous years including a tour in Iraq. He worked at the St. Cloud VA for multiple years. Mike lived life to the fullest, his priorities were spending time with his boys, family, and friends. Other passions he had were taking multiple vacations with Melissa and the boys, taking annual hunting trips, enjoying the outdoors, and just spending time with the people he loved. Michael is survived by his children Mitchel Peterson (Carly), Conner Peterson (Maria); Father Dennis Peterson; Step Father Jim Stetler; Significant other, Melissa Sposito (Gianna); Sisters Lacey Flategraff (Barry), Destiny Peterson (Tony); Niece Hailey, Kallie, Grace; Nephew Carter; God Children Austin, Kallie, Maddy, Grace; Many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.Michael was preceded in death by his Mom Debbie Stetler; Grandparents Lester and June, Alfred and Shirley; Uncles Kenny Evenson, Dick Evenson, Bradley Evenson, Bruce Bengtson, Jim Syrdal; Aunt Sam Evenson; Cousin Shawn Sondrol. Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 9th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7pm at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley in Little Falls on Monday, March 11 at 12pm.
