Michael Henry Plotnick

Michael Henry Plotnick of Potterville,
Passed away October 24, 2022 at the age of 77. Michael was born in Lansing, MI on January 29, 1945, the son of Peter and Ernestine (Appleton) Plotnick. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later attended Lansing Community College, receiving his Associates in Business and continuing on to the University Of Wisconsin Graduate School Of Business. Michael enjoyed drag racing, repairing and building automobiles. Michael spent nearly 40 years serving members in the Tri County areas through Wesley Local 724 Federal Employees and Portland Federal Credit Union. He was active in his children's lives, helping with Cub Scouts, Royal Rangers, and teaching Sunday school. Michael loved the Lord and his family dearly.
Michael is survived by his wife of 52 years Maxine (Curry) Plotnick, children Andrew Plotnick, Jason Plotnick, David Plotnick and Kari Alexander, grandchildren Nicholas (Melissa), Noah, Emily Mae, Annabelle, Anika and Ophelia Plotnick, great grandson Liam Plotnick, brother Richard Plotnick, sisters Nancy (Charles) Pasch and Debra Plotnick, sisters-in-law Rosemary (William) Bauer and Janice (Peter) Winiarski, brothers-in-law Doug (Carol) Curry and Sidney (Jane) Curry. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Adam Plotnick and brother Peter Plotnick Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 501 E. Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910 with Pastor Eric Mulanda officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Michael will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or to Mount Hope United Methodist Church. The family is being served by the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
