Michael "Mike" Poling

Michael "Mike" Poling, 74, of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Mike was born on January 15, 1951, in New Martinsville, WV, the son of the late William J. and Deloris A. Leasure Poling. He worked as a construction worker for Blake Construction Company in Manassas Park, VA, and previously for Pizzagalli Construction Company for 15+ years of Connecticut. He was a member of the Berryville Moose Lodge #2139 in Berryville, VA, and a member of the Salem Church of the Brethren in Stephens City, VA.
Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing-holding a lifetime Virginia & West Virginia fishing license-riding his Harley-Davidson, and watching NASCAR, especially as a fan of Bill Elliott. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.
Mike was married to Dottie M. Knotts Poling on October 7, 1967, in Winchester, VA.
Surviving with his wife of 58 years is his daughter, Michelle M. Rogers (Ron) of Stephen City, VA; a sister, Patricia Kimball (Lawrence) of Colliers, WV; four grandchildren: Kaila Anglin (Nathan), Kelsie Snapp (Cody), Mark Scott Hahn II, and Michia Sokol (Jordan) and five great-grandchildren: Everett Anglin, Levi and Luke Snapp, Naomi Hahn, and Mason Sokol.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Glen F. Poling; two sisters: Betty Poling & Peggy Aldridge and a son-in-law: Mark Scott Hahn.
The family will receive friends at the Salem Church of the Brethren in Stephens City, VA on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 12-1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Looman. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
