Michael Allen Prilliman, 78, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 15, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Phoebe Ann Kersey, Michael grew up in Plainfield, Indiana, and Jacksonville, Florida. It was there that he developed his lifelong values of hard work, determination, and compassion for others.
A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Michael went on to build a distinguished career in real estate. He owned and operated Mike Prilliman Realty for many years before later working with Berkshire Hathaway and Sunlight Realty. Over the course of his career, he held several leadership positions within national, state, and local real estate associations, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues across the industry.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael found his greatest joy in helping others. His generosity was not limited to financial giving; he gave freely of his time, his energy, and his heart. He was a man of quiet impact, someone whose kindness changed lives in ways big and small.
In 2021, Michael married Linda Reffit. Together, they shared years filled with love, laughter, and faith. Linda helped strengthen Michael's walk with God, and their marriage became a beautiful example of devotion, partnership, and grace.
Michael was a devoted father to Andrew (wife Ryann), and a proud grandfather to Colt and Connor. He was also a loving stepfather to Cameron and Benjamin Young and step-grandfather to Jack Young. In addition, he is survived by stepsister Susan Darnell and cousins Jeffrey Howe and Cynthia Taylor and dear friends who became family through the years, each blessed by his steady presence and generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phoebe Kersey, his uncle George Howe, and his aunt Sandra Howe.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Alliance Church of Zephyrhills (6251 Fort King Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33542). Friends and family are invited to gather for calling hours from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., a funeral service beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Chapel Hill Gardens (11531 US-301, Dade City, FL 33525) starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be a reception after at the Alliance Church of Zephyrhills.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Michael's lifelong commitment to helping others in need.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His faith, humility, and unwavering kindness will live on through the countless lives he touched and through the love of his family, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
