I am just now, months later, discovering this. Childhood memories are sort of flooding my mind. Mickey. You were my first little crush! You never knew that, of course. I was only 12 or 13, and you were 19 or 20. You had that rough exterior. Loud and eccentric. A brilliant drummer, with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. We lived across the street from your family on Aline, and I used to play with your little sister, Tanya. My mom still lives there, and we sometimes talk about those days. The 80s. Your family. That house. It has always attracted the most interesting of people, and your family was no exception. Rest In Peace, Mickey. 50. So young. Too young. My prayers are with all who loved you, and are missing you today.

Hi Mike- I was devastated to hear of Mickey's passing. Our years together on Kercheval seem like yesterday. I remember when we cut the fence between our yards so that it would be easier for all of us to visit and for the kids to play. Those were good times and I think of them and everyone often.

I live in New York. I'm a published poet, a storyteller, and performance artist. I also do editing here at the College. When I graduated from nursing school in 1988, I changed my last name from Keogh back to Kikel.

Andy lives in Michigan with his family and Joe in Florida with his. Kent remarried and lives in Michigan also.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I can be reached at [email protected].
and would love to hear from you.
