Rager, Michael R. died on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 65 in his home in Morganville, NJ, surrounded by his family. Michael was a stranger to no one. He would talk to anyone and everyone about anything and everything. Michael was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle and great great uncle. Michael was survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra (Asciutto) Rager; daughter, Bonnie Weiss; son, Michael WJ Rager; Nieces, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah Rager that he was more of a father figure than an uncle; Granddaughter, Emily Chaimowitz; 5 sisters, Sheila Rager, Deborah Toraman, Barbara Rager, Joyce Bishop, Kathy Mesaros; 2 brothers, John and spouse, Jan Rager, Dennis and spouse, Mary Rager. Also, survived by 11 nieces and nephews, Heather, Rick, Jason, Danielle, Tim, Rose, Brandon, Ashlee, Marcus, Steven, and Lucas; 20 great nieces and nephews; 2 great great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Steven Mesaros.
Michael dedicated his life to helping others. He was a 40+ year member of the Morganville Fire Company. Consisted of him being ex-chief, he was a life member of the Bayshore Chiefs Association. He also was a member of the Eastern Millwright Local 715. Michael would stop what he was doing to help someone else. He loved watching NASCAR and going to Dover every year with the family, standing at a grill and cooking for everyone was one of his joys.
Michael will be missed and loved forever by all who knew him.
Visitation for friends and relatives will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 5pm to 9pm at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10:00 am, followed by Interment in Old Tennent Cemetery.
