I discovered Michael on YouTube and have enjoyed his music since then. I just found an early video of him performing "THE WAY WE WERE" at the TOP OF THE TOWER in Toledo. Very well done, excellent arrangement, excellent voice. I'm an organist myself and know what it takes to be at the top like Mich was. I wish I got to know him.
Thank You Joshua, for keeping his channel alive. His music will be kept alive at my home, and with other fellow performers / organists.
...Silent keys down here but entertaining up in heaven.

Well now I finally can stop wishing for a new daily dose of Mike. Only now have I learned Mike Reed, my favorite Hammond B3 player is silenced. The last I heard was from him telling us on video he was sick. My condolences to the entire family. Mike's daily dose had so much energy and joy I would play catch up if I missed any of his 4 minute presentations. I always enjoyed his consistency in his production. He would greet and give the date, announce the song and he'd jump right into it, ending with a fanfare then slide off the seat, turn, and switch off camera. A fantastic production! I will and do miss it! Thank you a Mike for the happiness.

I only knew Mike through his wonderful YouTube channel. What a fabulous musician and what a wonderful legacy he leaves for us. It is so said that he was taken so soon but until we all meet again around the Heavenly Hammond to hear Mike work his magic, he certainly won't be forgotten. Here's to Mike!

Some of Mike´s music reminds me of the kind my dad and I played together on our piano and organ in the 1950´s. Thanks for the memories.

Johann Sebastian Bach once said: "Music is an agreeable harmony for the honor of God and the permissible delights of the soul." There is no doubt in my mind that Mike's music honored God as much as it brought great delight to souls all across the internet. Each week I looked forward to the next 'musical delight' Mike would post. While we are saddened to learn of his passing, the joy his music brought to so many lives on. How grateful I am for his YouTube channel, and the joy his musical mastery at the Hammond brought to all of us.

It is with such sadness to learn of Mike's passing. He has been a musical inspiration to me the last couple of years with his YouTube organ videos. I am forever grateful to have the ability to listen to his beautiful music and I'm sure it will continue to inspire others. Thanks to the family for posting the Celebration of Life for those who subscribed to his channel so we can see the wonderful family man he was. He will be sorely missed by so many, he was such a talent and beautiful human being that contributed great joy to the world! My sincere heartfelt condolences.

I got to "know" Mike through his utube videos. I am an organ player and watched every thing he did. He so enjoyed playing the organ for us of which we certainly all enjoyed. I had tears in my eyes in reading this announcement hoping so much that he would recover.

I never met Mike, but stumbled onto his amazing organ playing on YouTube. I looked forward every day to hear him play, always amazed at how many songs he had committed to memory. As a former organist myself, it was fun to watch him master that Hammond Grandee organ that he loved so much. I know he had a faithful following and we were all pulling for him and praying for him when he fell ill. May the God of all comfort be with the entire family and friends who loved him. He will be greatly missed.

I met Mike in the early 70s when he played the downtown Toledo Holiday Inn. I was a young player with my own organ and drum duo, called Nite Flite, and on our off nights my partner and I were at the Inn listening to Mike and his drummer, Ron Carlson. I learned so much from Mike. He truly was my mentor. A superb organist, vocalist and showman. Thank you, Mike, for inspiring a 50-year career in music. You will be missed, brother.
