Michael Paul Riley, age 47, passed from this life on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Norton Women and Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  Michael was born on Dec. 9, 1976 to his parents Michael Riley and Diana Justice Garrett.  Michael was of christian faith and was baptized at the Faith First Baptist Church of Myra on October 19, 2016.  He was a talented carpenter for much of his life and worked for Elliott Supply Company for more than 20 years.  Later in his life, he became passionate abour addiction recovery and worked as a Certified Peer Support Specialist for Addiction Recovery Care at the time of his passing.  There, he is survived by a host of loving friends and co workers who say, "he came to be saved, but saved so many."
     Michael is survived by his loving parents, Michael Riley and Diana Justice Garrett.  One precious son, Bradley Michael Riley of Phyllis, Ky.  Two step daughters, Hillary (Jason) Lynch, Alexis Cotton, two precious step grandsons, Eli and Silas Lynch, two loving sisters, Becky (Bruce) Williamson, Missy (Buck) Meade, a half sister, Marsha Bailey, nieces, Abby, Alivia, Katie, and nephew, Thomas.
     Michael will be missed forever by all those who loved and knew him.  
     Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with services beginning at 7 p.m.  The funeral will be Sunday May 26, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Reed Adkins officiating.      On Tuesday family and friends will meet at noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with graveside service at 12:30p.m. at the Annie E. Young Cemetery with Dr. Shea Shrader officiating.
