Michael Robinson Obituary

Michael Robinson, Sr., known affectionately to friends and family as "Buick", passed away on January 28, 2026, at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division in Galloway N.J. after a lengthy illness.

Mike was born March 10, 1961, to Jerry K. Robinson Sr. and Ella Louise Pannell Robinson in Vineland N.J.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey which included the areas of Newtonville, Pleasantville, Vineland and Atlantic City. He attended the Pleasantville School system.

Mike worked in construction for over 40 years. He was lastly employed at R. Maxwell Construction. Prior to his employment at R. Maxwell Construction, he worked for many years at B & J Recycling in Galloway, NJ who became another family. He was a member of Union Locals 415, 77 and 172.

Mike was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked helping anyone in any way possible. He was truly a generous spirit who formed many long-lasting friendships.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life Shawn Cornish-Robinson. His legacy includes two beautiful and devoted daughters, Shannon Pollard and Rosheka Robinson (Anthony) and one son Shawn Wicks.

He leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. He is also survived by his brothers Walter Ray Robinson, John Robinson (Roxanne), Eugene Robinson (Katina), Jerry K. Robinson Jr. and his sisters Salena Robinson, Sandra Harris (Boynton), Darchelle Handy (Frederick), and Shirley Robinson. Loving aunts Anita Smith and Janet Evans. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Hannahs, the Woodys, the Smiths, and the Skinners and many more.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry K. Robinson, Ella Louise Panell Robinson and his son Michael N. Pollard Robinson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Kathy, Lady Treesh (choir director), Pastor Rodney Rowland, the Circle of Life Funeral Home, DJ Antoine, Johnny Mannis, Atlanticare Regional Medical Center and everyone for all of their support.
