Michael Anthony Salvato

Michael Anthony Salvato, 71 of Aston Township passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Pasquale and Evelyn Irons Salvato. He lived in Ridley Park before moving to Aston 17 years ago.

Mike was a graduate of Darby Township High School, class of 1972, and proudly served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He worked for Middletown Township Public Works from 1985 until 1997. After a work disability, he later became a Title Searcher at the Recorder of Deeds Office at the Delaware County Courthouse. He moved on as a Title Searcher for LTS Acquisitions in Mt. Laurel, NJ and retired from there in 2020.

Michael was a lifelong, avid Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan. Win or lose, always cheering them on. Whenever he vacationed his trips to Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood at the Jersey Shore were the highlight of his free time. He always had classic rock playing in the background of his life and Led Zeppelin was his particularly favorite group.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Susan P. Beard Salvato. He was father to Ron and Jason as well as step-father to John, Sandra, Robert, and the late Laura Weghorst. He was the younger brother of Patricia Shinn (Harry) and uncle to Sandra Hitchens (Larry).
