Michael Samples Obituary
Michael was born, September 7, 1980, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was a 1999 graduate of Emerson High School and graduated from Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College. Michael loved spending time outdoors whether it was working on cars, operating heavy equipment, welding a project or just tinkering around his house tending to his garden, feeding his chickens, reading his Bible, listening to hard rock, and spending time with his daughter and son.
Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Christine Samples; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Nadine (Franks) Butler; aunt Geraldine Waters; and an uncle Thomas Butler.
Michael is survived by his children, Judd Lee Samples and Lexi Mae Samples and their mother Jessica Samples all of Magnolia; his parents, Billy and Brenda Samples of Emerson; brothers, Jim Samples and Sheree of Emerson; Bobby Samples of Arkansas; aunt Christine Snider and husband John of Springhill; cousins, Janell Caulfield, Donna Snider Iverson, and Martha Edens; girlfriend, Cheryl Worley and her daughter Cheyenne Marlar; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Rugged Cross Cowboy Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mike Launius, Scott Reeves, and Jason Wylie officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc.
