It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael J. Santoianni, Jr., of Newtown, CT, on July 25, 2024. He was born in Greenwich, CT, on September 20, 1973. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Cattuti Santoianni, his daughter, Brianna Santoianni of Sandy Hook, his mother, Mary Jane Santoianni of Milford, and his brother Joseph (Cristina) Santoianni of Newtown. He was predeceased by his father, Michael J. Santoianni, Sr.
Michael was a fan of both the New York Yankees and New York Jets. He and Michelle were avid Harley enthusiasts and enjoyed many road trips together. Michael was a fun-loving guy, who always enjoyed a good party!
Anyone who knew Michael knew he was a hard-working guy and a talented and successful electrician, who owned and operated New England Electrical Contracting Company in Newtown, CT, since 2006. He will be missed by his family and the many friends he made along his life's journey.
Visitation will be held at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown, CT, on Saturday, August 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I was introduced to Mike when I had him install landscape lighting for me at my home. He also did many other electrical services for me. He was a very polite and professional individual. I mentioned to him I was a Vietnam Veteran and he was very patriotic and appreciated my service. Mike was a very special individual and I will miss his kindness and friendship. Mike was a great friend and great electrician, business man. I had the pleasure of working along him in many houses in Rowayton and in his home and office. His loss will be felt in the field and as a friend. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
