Michael Saparo Obituary

Michael Patrick Saparo, affectionately known as "Cat," passed away on December 1, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 68. Born on August 11, 1957, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Michael was a beloved master custom staircase designer and builder, carpenter, and a successful business owner who left a lasting mark on his community through his creative talents and unwavering dedication.

Michael’s warm and kind-hearted nature endeared him to many, and he often brightened the day of those around him with laughter. He was known for his spirituality and faith, qualities that shaped his compassionate approach to life. Michael was not just a skilled craftsman; he was also a loving husband to Doreen Elizabeth Saparo, his partner and best friend, with whom he shared countless cherished memories.

In addition to his remarkable career, Michael had a deep passion for the outdoors, embracing activities like skiing and gardening. He often spent time tending to his yard, a source of joy and pride that he would proudly brag about. His love for the simple pleasures in life extended to his fondness for ravioli and his affinity for the music of Willie Nelson, which often accompanied his happiest moments. Michael’s heart also held a special place for animals, particularly his three beloved cats: Moe, Beau, and Buddy. They were not just pets but cherished companions that filled his home with warmth and joy.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Doreen, and his dear aunt, Patricia Felus and uncle Mike, as well as many cousins who remember him fondly. Michael is preceded in death by parents, Michael and Palma (Albarano) Saparo, sister Carmella R. Saparo, brother, John J. Saparo, Uncle John Albarano, Aunt Caroline and Uncle Michael Biglin, Aunt Jean and Uncle Cheech Albarano, cousin Michael Biglin, Marylou Popsom, and Richard Zello.

As we remember Michael Patrick Saparo, we celebrate a life beautifully lived—a life that exuded kindness, creativity, and a love for those around him. His legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
