Earlier today
I was so lucky to have Lori as one of my dearest childhood friends. The Schaeffer family welcomed me as one of their own and opened my eyes to so many wonderful experiences. I have such fond memories of Mr. Schaeffer from my childhood. He was a kind and loving father who made every moment special for Lori and her friends- from our father-daughter trips and stays on houseboats at Lake Cumberland, to days out on the Hoover Reservoir in their speedboat, to the delicious pancakes he´d make for us. I remember him often in the garage, working on his cars, even cleaning the whitewalls of his tires, always with such care and patience. The love he had for his family was evident in everything he did, and I always admired the beautiful bond he shared with Mrs. Schaeffer. The wonderful memories he created will live on far beyond his time here. Sending love and heartfelt sympathy to Lori, Scott, Liz, and the entire Schaeffer family.
