Michael Wayne Schmuck, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 58. Loving husband of Debbie Schmuck; beloved son of Dwain Schmuck and the late Joyce Schmuck; devoted father of Ashley (Adam) Pickett, Erin Schmuck, and Carrie (Craig) Snarzyk; dear brother of Barb (Garry) Rosemann, Richard (Karen) Schmuck and the late Sandra Schmuck; cherished grandfather of Blair Schonhorst, Reece Kline, Makenna Snarzyk, Raegan Pickett, Scarlet Snarzyk, and Kai Chamineak. He was also an uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Michael dedicated over 40 years to Aarrow Boring, working alongside his father and brother. He loved spending time outdoors and found joy in activities like kayaking, hiking, and fishing. Michael was a devoted grandpa who happily showed up for every practice, game, and event—always just a phone call away and ready to support his grandchildren in any way he could, always their number one fan. He had a fascination with history and enjoyed sharing it with others. Above all, Michael was devoted to his family and would do anything for those he loved.
Michael never judged others and welcomed everyone with open arms with his kindness and easygoing nature. He was always present, fully engaged in the moment, finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. Michael will be fondly remembered for his ability to make others laugh, often with his sarcastic humor and warm spirit. Through life’s ups and downs, Michael leaned on his faith, firmly believing that the past does not define you. Michael was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Michael’s name to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
