Mike was a great neighbor and friend for the 27 years I lived across the street on Sylvan. I so enjoyed the times at parties and snowstorms and just hanging outside on our block. He raised a wonderful family. I miss those days growing up together. My sincere condolences to everyone.

Dear Aunt Janie, Elizabeth, Alice, Michael, Joe, and Andrew,
So very sorry to hear about Uncle Mike´s passing. I was twelve years old when I was introduced to Aunt Janie´s "boyfriend," and he became an instant favorite for my brothers and me - particularly Pat. He treated us as grown- ups and, I think, genuinely enjoyed our time together. He was so unpretentious and non-judgmental that you felt you could talk to him about anything. We used to kid him about always bringing our Dad a gift of Johnny Walker Black Label scotch. We said he just wanted to be sure all the family bars were stocked with his preferred sipping whiskey! Fifty years later I still keep a bottle of Black Label simply because it reminds me of Uncle Mike. So here´s to you, Uncle Mike. I will remember your kindness, your integrity, and mostly your wonderful laugh! Slainte!

Aunt Jane and my dear cousins Elizabeth, Michael, Joseph and Andrew, I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Mike. My very clear memories of Uncle Mike include coming over to Rutherford from the city when I lived in Manhattan 1979-1982. He always had time for me, a young student then, to share a beer and provide common sense guidance and conversation. All while you kids ran around the house - he was so calm. A great guy in the truest sense of that phrase.
You are all in our prayers.
Love, Pete and Reba
