Michael Joseph “Mouse” Sear, age 73, passed away on October 23, 2024. He was born in Akron on June 24, 1951 to the late Richard and Jean Sear. Mike graduated from Buchtel HS in 1969 and served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. He was employed by Parker Hannifin as a valve specialist for over 40 years, traveling the world. Mike loved Lake Erie, where he enjoyed fishing and gathering with his friends and family. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and amazing storytelling abilities. His door was always open. He is survived by sisters Nancy (John) Sharp, and Ann (Brian) Comunale; his step-daughter Robin, her granddaughter Layla; cousins Tom (Pam) , Danny (Linda) , Kathy deceased (Jack) Cindy (Dan), Becky (John), and Chris (Gary); Many nieces and nephews Special friends in Akron, Lake Erie and Florida. Mike was preceded in death by Wilma, his wife of 45 years; brothers Richard and John Sear, nephew Greg Sear. Private services at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Celebration of life will be held at St. George Fellowship Center 3204 Ridgewood Rd. 44333 Tuesday Nov 5th 5-7pm. The family thanks Sanctuary Hospice for the wonderful care of Mike.
