Michael Rodney Seitz, age 68, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Hendrick North in Abilene, Texas.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M..

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tyler Looney officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Michael was born on July 4, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas, to Russell Layton Seitz and Charlotte Anne (Shelby) Seitz. He was a graduate of San Angelo Central High School. He attended Angelo State University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was also a member of Sweetwater Jaycees. Michael was a grocery store manager in San Angelo, Harker Heights and Sweetwater, Texas working for Modern Way, Buddie's Grocery Store, and Winn Dixie, retiring in 2002. He was a Christian.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte (Shelby) Seitz of San Angelo, Texas; step-son, Drew Elliott and wife Jessica of Abilene, Texas; brother, Russell Steven (Steve) Seitz and wife Connie of Austin, Texas; sister, Laura Seitz Rahija and husband Michael of Piperton, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Charlotte M. Seitz, Judith Foster, Rebekah Foster Lopez, Kellie Morris, and Michael Rahija; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Layton Seitz and wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Elliott Seitz.

Pallbearers will be Andy Blain, Robert "Nubbin" Mahoney, Heath Spencer, and Brock Minton.
