Michael Scott Sharp

1965 - 2023

Michael "Mike" S. Sharp, age 57, of Maplewood, MO, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in St. Louis, MO. Born on May 7, 1965 in Boston, MA, he attended B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, MA, graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and moved to St. Louis to study Architecture at Washington University.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 20 yrs., Shevaun McNaughton; adored sons, Logan and Liam Sharp; devoted mother, Mary Douglas (Jim Turner) Sharp; loving father, John (Linda Marsonette) Sharp; favorite sister, Elizabeth Sharp, caring step-siblings, Sherry (Ray Cribari) Turner, Chuck (Callie) Marsonette, and Susan Marsonette, and was cherished a uncle, cousin, nephew, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
Michael was a true Renaissance man; he was creative, knowledgeable, inventive, talented, introspective, and adventurous – the whole package. He immersed himself in whatever he took on – from reading, movies, music, design, carpentry, sailing, bowling, swimming, Lego building, yoga, building a fire, and learning about IPAs.
At the core of Michael was a loving, kind, and generous soul. He was known for his huge heart, captivating smile, deep blue eyes, and hugs that would melt away the world. He was always giving of his time and would be the first to offer help and assistance wherever he could.
He loved his family fiercely and was devoted to them. He loved to dote on his wife and couldn't be prouder of his amazing sons. From campouts to building Legos, reading bedtime stories, designing pinewood derby cars, creating bike jumps, cheering from the sidelines, going hiking and kayaking, traveling, encouraging, and simply sharing space, Michael was there for his family and instilled a passion for life, knowledge, and exploration and a capacity for love that they will carry forward.
