Dear Family of Michael Shellito:
We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences. The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child, at any age and from any cause. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet monthly in Grand Rapids from 7-8:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Community Room, 134 Division Ave N, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 . If and when you are ready to do so, please join us. There are no fees or membership dues. There are no strangers at TCF meetings, only friends you have not yet met, all experiencing the loss of a child. We Need Not Walk Alone. We are The Compassionate Friends.

New Beginnings 2015-2016
June 16, 2017
Michael had such a sweet smile and a kind heart. He had recently stopped in at New Beginnings to make sure he did not still owe for his cap and gown from the previous year when he graduated, he wanted to make sure his debt was paid. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Our hearts go out to Mike's family and friends in this time of sorrow. Love from The New Beginnings High School Staff

Praying for our family through this sad time. Very thankful for all of our family and support who are getting together to be there for one another. Unfortunately, because of this sad time, but blessed because we're family and support who is going to show nothing but love and support in this sad time.
