Michael William Shiverdecker, born on May 16, 1952, passed away on February 4, 2025. He left a remarkable legacy defined by laughter, love, and a spirit that embraced every moment of life.
Michael was known for his infectious humor and zest for life. He had a unique gift for making others laugh and cherished the joy that humor brought to those around him. Always the jokester, he never met a stranger and could engage anyone in conversation with his warm and welcoming personality. His laughter was a constant presence at family gatherings and social events, where he enjoyed hosting cookouts, always ensuring that the grill was fired up and that everyone felt at home.
His grandchildren, Hailey and Harper, held a special place in his heart. Michael loved spending time with them, taking them fishing and to feed the ducks, moments that not only created cherished memories but also strengthened their bond. Halloween was a time of year he particularly relished, as he enjoyed the thrill of scaring people and reveling in the playful spirit of the holiday.
In addition to his humor and warmth, Michael was an avid music lover, with a particular fondness for classic rock, especially the legendary Rolling Stones. His appreciation for music added depth to his life, engaging friends and family in moments of joy and celebration.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Aimee Shiverdecker; his beloved grandchildren, Hailey and Harper; his sister, Joyce Stewart (Chuck); and his niece and nephews, C.W. Stewart, Kimberly Schlecher, and Robert Stewart. He also leaves behind the mother of his daughter, Deborah Shiverdecker, along with many more family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Shiverdecker, who instilled in him the values of kindness and community that he carried throughout his life, and his mother-in-law, Fran Lawson, whom with he shared his love of humor and jokes.
