Michael William Shuffler

Mr. Michael William Shuffler, 60, of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at CHS-Blue Ridge in Morganton, following a brief illness. Michael was born on December 9, 1957 in Burke County to the late John William Shuffler and Dorothy Smith Shuffler. He was employed with BEO Care in the dye house. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melanie Leonhardt Shuffler and one sister, Cathy Shuffler Wills. Survivors include his two daughters, Tamara McCarter and husband Russell of Valdese, and Michelle Lucas and Jeffrey of Morganton, and a special nephew , Joshua Dale Wills of Icard. Also surviving is one sister, Ramona Berry and husband Michael of Morganton and one brother, Gary Shuffler of Morganton and one granddaughter, Samantha McCarter. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
