Michael Skillin Obituary
April 27, 1945 – December 12, 2024
Michael Lee Skillin was born in Portland, Oregon on April 27, 1945 and passed away in Lebanon, Oregon on December 12, 2024.
Michael graduated from Madison High School in Portland, Oregon then joined the Navy where he served in Vietnam. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy he was a Marshal in Colville, Washington before spending the next 35 years in logging and woodworking where he was well known for his work.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leland and Edna Skillin, and survived by his wife Diana Skillin, three children Sheila, Jodie, and Michael, three step-daughters Diana, Christina and Tricia, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Michael will be laid to rest in the Willamette National Cemetery on Wednesday January 8th, 2025 at 11am.
Because of Michael's love for adopting rescued senior dogs, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made instead to a local animal shelter or senior dog rescue group.
