Michael J. Stempleski Jr. passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025 at his home in Hanover, he was 81 years old. Born and raised in North Quincy, Mike was the beloved son of the late Michael and Catherine (Faunce) Stempleski. He was the devoted husband of the late Diane L. (Sacco) Stempleski, and the loving father of Michael P. Stempleski and his wife Renee of Hanover, and Priscilla A. Spano and her husband Rich of Hanson. He was affectionately known as "Grampy" by his only grandchild, Zakk Spano. Mike is also survived by his siblings: Patrick Stempleski of Norwell, MA, Nancy Gorman and her husband Jim of Melrose, MA and Stephen Stempleski of Arroyo Grande, CA. He is also remembered by many nieces and nephews.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, Mike worked at General Electric as an Appliance Technician for 32 years until his retirement to care for his wife.
Known for his handyman skills around town, Mike loved to lend a hand to friends and relatives. After retirement, he found a new passion in snowmobiling, spending time on the trails in Rangeley and Jackman, Maine.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street (Route 53), Hanover. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9am at Our Lady of the Angels Parish- St. Mary"s, 392 Hanover Street in Hanover, followed by burial at the Hanover Cemetery.
