Michael Steven Stralo

Michael Steven Stralo, a cherished son, brother, step-father, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 59, at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born on September 22, 1966, in Bethlehem, Michael's life was one marked by devotion to his family, passion for his work, and love for the great outdoors.
Michael's early years were spent in the town of his birth, where he attended Liberty High School, establishing lifelong friendships and a foundation for his future. His drive and commitment to craftsmanship led him to a trade school, where he honed his skills and emerged as a journeyman carpenter. Throughout his career, Michael was a proud union member, dedicated to his colleagues and the values of hard work and solidarity.
Those who knew Michael understood his love for the water. He found serenity in fishing and boating, often retreating to Ocean City, Maryland, and Lake Wallenpaupack, where the waves and the peace of the water brought him immense joy. His love for the sea and lake was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to share this passion with his loved ones.
Michael's life was enriched by the close bonds he shared with his family, especially with his partner Melanie Fluck, with whom he had a long relationship with. He is also survived by his adoring mother, Sue A. (Snyder) Stralo of Bethlehem; his brother, Tod Matthew Stralo, and his wife Kimberly Ann, of Bethlehem. His role as a step-father to Felicia Moreno and her husband Juan was one he embraced with open arms, offering guidance and support as if she were his own. Michael's nephew, Matthew Stralo, and niece, Kaitlyn Rivera, will fondly remember their uncle's laughter and the adventures they shared. He was predeceased by his father, Earl F. Stralo, with whom he now shares eternal peace.
Michael's legacy is not only in the structures he helped build as a carpenter but also in the strength and integrity he demonstrated throughout his life. His handshake was as solid as the wood he carved, and his word was as reliable as the structures he erected. He was a man who built more than just buildings; he built relationships that stood the test of time.
As the sun sets on Michael's time with us, we are reminded of the beauty and resilience that characterized his life. He navigated the world much like he navigated his beloved waters – with grace, determination, and a sense of adventure. Michael Steven Stralo will be deeply missed, yet his memory will continue to be a beacon of light for all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 12 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, where family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment will conclude services at Nisky Hill Cemetery, 254 E. Church Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Michael's services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
