Michael J. Sullivan

Michael (Mike) J. Sullivan, 91 years old, passed away on January 24, 2026.

He was born January 15, 1935 in Akron, Ohio. He was the son of Viola (Wojtkowski) and Charles Sullivan.

He graduated St. Vincent High School class of 1953. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for a year. He worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber and then retired from Summit County Federal Building. Mike enjoyed golfing and he was Irish loud and proud, the biggest St. V fan of them all! He was inducted to the St. Vincent St. Mary Hall of Fame in 2014. People recognized him walking in Akron wearing his IRISH jacket. If you ever offered him a ride he would always turn you down.

He was a man of faith, guided by God's love in his daily life.
He was beloved by his family and his St. Vincent church and school family. He was always a regular at the Akron Family Restaurant where they always treated him like family. His Irish light will shine down on us all!
Mike was predeceased by his parents, his brother Jay Sullivan, and brother-in-laws Dave Ullom and Bruce Brennan.
He is survived by sisters, Kathleen Brennan, Maureen (Mimi) Ullom, sister-in-law Grace Sullivan and his brothers, Paul Sullivan and Mark Sullivan. Also many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held, Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 2pm-4pm at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 164 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44303.

Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
