Michael Swaggerty Obituary
Michael Lewis "Mike" Swaggerty, 69, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness.
Born in Sanford, Florida, Mike moved to Putnam County in 1966 from Jarratt, Virginia. Mike was a 1973 graduate of Palatka South High School and was a member of the baseball team. He graduated from Lake City Junior College with his degree in Landscape Design. Mike, along with his brother, Kirk, owned and operated Swaggerty Bros. Landscape in the Orlando area for 10 years. He also held a restricted chemical license. In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Barbara Swaggerty; and a son, Marshall Lewis Swaggerty
Mike is survived by a daughter, Michelle Lynn Perdue (Randall); a son, Matthew Lewis Swaggerty; a grandson, Hank Perdue; and 2 brothers, Bill Swaggerty (Laura) and Kirk Swaggerty (Renee').
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 163 West Grandview Drive in East Palatka. All are welcome to join the family.
