Dr. Thoene was my dermatologist during the mid-1980s. He cured the fungal infections that plagued me for years before we met. His innovative approach to treatment and his use of polyethylene glycol to infuse my tissues with griseofulvin are no doubt responsible for my enduring freedom from ringworm, jock itch and the like. Rest in peace, Doctor Mike. Kudos.
