Michael John Thomas

Michael John Thomas, 70 of Seymour passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. He was born May 6, 1955 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to John William and Mildred Louise Maschino Thomas. He came to Seymour as a young boy and attended St. Ambrose School. He graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1973. After high school, he attended Indiana University.

He later worked at Central Pharmaceutical prior to becoming a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He worked there for over 30 years. He had a love for dogs and carried treats for the dogs on his route. He knew them all by name. Mike was a classic car guy who loved attending car shows, whether they were local shows or the Auburn Auction, which he attended more than 30 years straight. He loved music and attended many concerts, including 20 Kansas concerts. His greatest love came watching his nephews participate in all sporting events. He quickly became their biggest supporter. Mike wanted to be remembered by his friends and family by the way he lived and not the way he died.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Brenda Thomas of Seymour, his nephews, John Clinton (Katina) Thomas of Seymour and Cory (Zue Mori) Thomas of Cape Coral, Florida and great nephews, Cooper, Tucker, C.J. and Izaiah.

Friends may visit with Mike's family from 11:00 am until the service at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour.
