Michael Anthony Thomas

Michael Anthony "Mike" Thomas, 57, of Woodbury passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Born in Cannon Co., Mike was the son of the late George and Wilma Merritt Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rene Smithson. He is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Thomas and Diane Davenport both of Woodbury; his fiancé, Lisa Jones of Woodbury; his daughter, Breanna Thomas of Wartrace; stepson, Daniel (Courtney) Jones of Nashville; grandson, Mills Jones; nephews, Christopher Davenport and Jake Smithson. Several cousins also survive.

Mike was a member of the Church of Christ and worked at Yorozu in Morrison. A true "Parrot Head", he enjoyed Jimmy Buffett concerts, cheering on UT football and Duke Basketball games. He was a youth football and Jr. Pro basketball coach for years.

The Thomas family will receive friends Friday, December 19, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Wade Brothers, Chris Taylor, Keith Holt and J.J. Roberts.
