Michael Turner Obituary

Celebrating the Lives of Michael & Marlene Turner. A loving couple, remembered together.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Thomas Turner (affectionately known as Opa) and his beloved wife, Marlene Turner (affectionately known as Oma). Their lives, intertwined in love and devotion, leave a lasting legacy of family, faith, and service.

Their Life Stories.

Michael Thomas Turner (Opa).

Born to serve, Michael was a proud Vietnam veteran and dedicated his life to the Army National Guard, from which he retired. He was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge, embodying its principles of brotherly love and community support. After serving his country, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved tending to his chickens and enjoyed the peace of his surroundings. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His wisdom, warmth, and gentle nature will be deeply missed.

Marlene Turner (Oma).

Marlene, a pillar of faith and creativity, dedicated her life to her family and community. She was an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and Daughters of Norway, reflecting her commitment to service and heritage. Oma had a passion for crafting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her artistic spirit. Her garden was a testament to her love of nature, especially her cherished roses. Like Michael, Marlene loved spending time with family, and especially her grandchildren. Her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love will be forever treasured.

Family & Legacy.

Michael and Marlene are survived by their loving children: Michael Turner, Leana Garrison, and April Stricklan.

They are preceded in death by their son, Corey Morgan.

Their legacy continues through their cherished grandchildren: Nate and Gabe Garrison, Levy and Tristan Morgan, and Piper, Finley, Aviana, and Thielsen Stricklan.

I knew Marlene for several years as a member of the Daughters of Norway lodge. She was always so nice and her flowers were always so beautiful!

I worked LCEC and was the event coordinator for The Town & Country Christmas Bazaar for many years. I had the pleasure of working with Marlene and loved her beautiful decorations. I will treasure the ornaments that she gifted me during my time there.

Two beautiful people. Kind and loving. Loved her miniature roses.
