Michael was born on May 5, 1964, to the union of Otis and Flora Turney. He departed this life on October 8, 2024.
Michael was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. His laughter was contagious, and he brought joy to everyone around him with his quick wit and sense of humor. Michael had a natural talent for making people smile, and his jokes could fill any room with laughter. Michael loved life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed walking long distances, often taking in the beauty of his experiences and adventures. Michael’s favorite past time included spending time with loved ones, going out to eat, and indulging in his favorite beer, Milwaukee’s Best. He was also a man of faith, regularly attending church and cherishing time he spent with family and community.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Sr. and Flora; children, Sadley and Theodore; and his brother, Cecil. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Theodora Garner; beloved children, Michael Turney Jr., Eugene, Angela, Selena, and Regina; siblings, Delores, Otis Jr., Sandra, Tina, Tarras and Tabari; several grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews extended family and dear friends. All who will miss him deeply. Michael’s memory will live through countless lives he touched, and his spirit will continue to bring laughter and love to those who knew him.
