Michael E. Walden Sr.
Columbus—Michael Eugene Walden Sr. passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024. A Mississippi native, he was born July 25, 1956 to Melvin E. Walden and Gloria Norris Walden Waltman. Michael made the United States Navy his career, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. He enjoyed spending time with family and tinkering on engines and carpentry projects.
Michael leaves behind five children, Michelle Walden, Michael Walden Jr. (Ashley), Ricky Walden, Gere Walden, and Timothy Walden; his sister, Debbie Abbott (Barry); two brothers, John Walden (Mellisa) and Emanuel Walden (Monica); and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services with military honors will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors.
