In high school, Michael and I hung out all the time. We jammed together, me on guitar and him on drums. He turned me on to Earth, Wind & Fire and so many other great, funky bands.
The first time I met him, he was performing, playing drums and singing "Them Changes." I think we were in sixth grade.
From everything I can see, he went on to live a full and meaningful life, and I´m proud to have called him my friend.
RIP, Michael.
