Sending sincere Condolences and Prayers for Comfort and Strength to the entire Ward Family during this difficult time.
I am just hearing about the untimely passing of the very 1st Jazz Violinist I ever heard. I became an instant fan from the 1st time I heard him.
I am a friend of another 'great', Kyle Turner whom introduced Michael Ward to the Houston Jazz community. He was an absolute awesome musician and performer that will no doubt be greatly missed.
Rest Peacefully Angel...

I was so sad to hear of Michael's passing. He always made me feel special whenever our paths crossed. I remember several years ago I was walking down a street in New Orleans and I happened to look down the street to see Michael working security for a TV show. It was a really nice moment visiting with him.
A few years later, after I remarried, I took my wife to a performance he did at a local San Antonio park. He had us come backstage and he made my wife feel like he had known her as long as he had known me. She has such fond memories of that day. She is just as sad as I am to hear of Michael's passing.
I think the message I am conveying here is Michael had a unique way of touching people. He was a true blessing. He will be missed greatly and fondly remembered. Love you, Michael.

Dear Ward Family and Friends, I am saddened by Michael´s passing and join you in not only mourning his loss, but also in rejoicing with the angels in heaven because he now sits before God. Truly heaven´s gain! As you go through this tender season of your lives, remember, you are not alone. Because Jesus loves you, He is always with you. In His Presence, you will find Comfort and Peace. I enjoyed many years of fellowship with Mike as his Masonic Brother. He was a true asset to our Brotherhood. I cherish those memories.
Yours in Christ,
Brother Edward Ventress, P.M.

This was a phenomenal brother. He performed at my 60th birthday party in Houston in January 2020. May he now rest in peace!

I first met Michael Ward when he first began performing socially at Pampy´s Bar on North Broad St. I was working there as a barmaid and waitress. He went on to become an internationally, known Jazz Violinist. He then went on to train his two son´s who are following in his footsteps. He later formed the Group, All Strings Attached with them. Michael was a good friend and a great person. It was an extreme pleasure knowing this great musician and person. He will be solely missed but not forgotten. To Lenzie, his wife, Shaun, his oldest son, and Cortes, his youngest son, and all his family, you have my sincere condolences in the loss of your husband and father, and family member. May he Rest in Peace.
Sincerely,
June Goins Hazeur
