I'm sad to learn of Michael's passing. I sat on the other side of the table from Michael for many years, as a lawyer for Major League Baseball, and, like so many others, admired his skill and the professional, always respectful way in which he advocated. I was moved by the grace and honesty with which he faced his disease. I was lucky to have known him. I will miss him and I extend my deepest sympathies to Diane and his daughters.

Our family sends it's deepest condolences to the Weiner Family. Michael was an honest, patient, intelligent, and caring man. He was a great leader of our MLBPA so I can only imagine how great a father or husband he was. He will be truly missed by those of us who crossed his path. We are better people by just having known him. May he rest in peace.
