He is predeceased by his parents Matthew J. Welch and Veronica Murphy Welch.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Gilkey Welch, three sons: Patrick Welch (Lori), Timothy Welch, and Matthew Welch (Kathleen), twin daughters: Kimberly Kovarik (Steve), Carol Jones (Marc), 12 very loved grandchildren: Erin (Brandon), Ashley, Andrew, Abby, Brianna, Carli, Sean, Logan, Julian, Khloe, Olivia, and Kiley, and two great grandchildren: Jacob and Emily.
Mike was a life-long resident of Minoa, NY and retired as a Supervisor from Carrier Corporation. Mike loved all things outdoors including fishing, deer and turkey hunting in Hamilton, NY and tending to his vegetable garden. Mike's passion and biggest pride and joy were his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Schepp Family Funeral Homes in Minoa, NY at noon for immediate family members only.
