Michael Andrew Welsh Jr.

MICHAEL A WELSH JR 89 Passed away December 8, 2024. He was born in Carnegie, PA to Catherine (Quigley)
and Michael A Welsh Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Welsh and wife Lois.
After graduating from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He became a Pharmacist and was transferred to Dover,
Delaware in 1960 in the employ of Thrift Drugs. He worked as a Pharmacist in Delaware and Maryland until his retirement.
He was a member of The Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and Modern Maturity Center.
He is survived by his three children Lynette Carson (Bob), Shawn Welsh (Cyndi Cooper) long term companion, and Mary Beth Snyder (Chris). Four grandchildren Mary Christina Greer (Matthew), Jonathan Carson, Samuel Snyder and Ella Snyder. One great grandson Caleb Darling. Evelyn Welsh the loving mother of his children. Albert Knipe his husband, partner and companion for the last 25 years.
Funeral was held December 13, 2024. Family received friends from 10:30am-11:30am at the Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901
Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Cross Church with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church, Knights of Columbus, or a charity of your choice in Michael's memory.
