Michael Allen Whitehead Born 10/10/1939 Died 10/26/2025

Michael Whitehead, age 86, of Davie FL, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, 26 October 2025. Son of the late Word and Lillian Whitehead, he was born and raised in Houston, Texas and served in the Army during the Vietnam war as a medic. After the war, he lived in California for a while helping migrant farm workers and the less fortunate. He later moved to the south Florida area and remained there until his death. Michael worked in landscaping and later in life, as a caregiver. He was active with helping his fellow man and ministering to those in need. He attended Parkway Christian Church and held a weekly bible study group at his house. He enjoyed reading, thrifting, creating butterfly pictures, fixing up bikes, motorcycles and cars and he loved his cats.

Michael had no immediate family but is survived by numerous extended family members in Texas and Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Gloria, Word Jr, Dan and Sharon.

Services will be held on Tuesday, 4 November at 1pm at the South Florida National Cemetery in Wellington, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please give to a charity of your choice.
