Michael Dale Wilkerson

Michael Dale Wilkerson "Mike" of Jefferson, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the age of 67. He was born to the late Guy Walter Wilkerson, Sr. and the late Patricia Louise Wilkerson on May 2, 1958 in Hialeah, Florida. Mike was raised in South Florida, and graduated from Cooper City High School. He worked for Publix Supermarkets in both Miami and Atlanta Distribution Centers as a fleet mechanic for over thirty years, and recently celebrated 10 years with Penske Transportation Services as a refrigeration mechanic.
Mike is survived by his wife, Julie Wilkerson and his 3 children, Tiffany (John Morgan) Tullis of Social Circle, Georgia, Gabriel Wilkerson of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Trae(Chelsea) Allison of Cincinnati, Ohio, and grandson, Jameson Allison, known affectionately as "Little Man".
Mike has 3 surviving siblings, Guy Walter (Lisa) Wilkerson, Jr., Melinda (Larry) Wilkerson Taylor, and Patti (Zack) Auvil. He has 19 nieces and nephews and 26 great-nieces and nephews.
Mike loved his family and enjoyed spending time with each of them. His love for the animals each family member has was immeasurable. All of the animals needed more to eat in his opinion.
He loved sitting on the beach in St. Augustine and watching the sun rise over the waves. On Sunday afternoons, if he wasn't at the racetrack with his daughter Tiffany, he was watching NASCAR from home. His absolute favorite pastime was deep sea fishing and catching the elusive red snapper.
A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at Winder First United Methodist Church, 280 Broad Street, Winder, Georgia 30680 on November 1, 2025. Visitation for friends and family will be from 10:30-11:00 with the service at 11:00 am. A light meal will follow in the Fellowship Hall for family and friends.
Mike was always willing to help others, and chose to be an organ donor so that he may help others live full lives even after his death. As a family we are proud of his ability to do so.
