Michael Williams, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin while attending the Republican National Convention as a delegate. He was 62 years old. He was born October 31, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Hays Titus Williams and Dolores Lansdel Williams.
Michael received his degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. He worked with River Bend Power Plant as a computer programmer for over 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Jan Wilson; and their beloved daughter, Jessica Williams. He is also survived by his sister Carol Gourdin; his brother Titus Williams; his nephews Joshua Williams, Hayes Herrin and JK Gourdin; his niece Ellis Gourdin; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
Michael’s gun collection was one-of-a-kind and was a longtime passion that created friendships with people throughout the country. He will also be remembered by the numerous connections he had through the Republican Central Committee for the State of Louisiana.
The family would like to give special thanks to Our Lord Jesus Christ for the gift of Salvation.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge, with Rev. Richard Phillips officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
