Michael J. Wise, age 71, resident of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on June 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jack and Lova Jean Wise. Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Mary, his daughter Jennifer (Brad) Ditto, his son Jason (Carol) Wise, and cherished grandchildren, Madison and Avery Ditto, and Stella and Lucas Wise
Born and raised in New Madison, Ohio, Mike had a deep-rooted love for his family. He served with honor as a veteran of the Ohio National Guard from 1971 to 1976, embodying a spirit of duty and commitment.
Mike will be remembered for his strength, unwavering love for his family, and dedication to his passions. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and hard work will continue to inspire all who knew him. Mike took great pride in his home and could often be found tinkering and fixing things around the house, a testament to his craftsmanship and hands-on approach to life. He was an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, faithfully following their games year after year.
In addition to his immediate family, Mike is survived by his sisters Sharyn (Gary) Bambauer and Starrann Wise. He is also survived by his extended family Donna (Dave) McAllister, Darlene (Robert) Comer, David Moore, and Dolores (Norman) Scholl, and many nieces and nephews, as well as cherished family friend Linda Shelton and Celso Baptista, all of whom he cared for deeply.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
His family will receive guests on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
