Michael Francis Zalewski

My friendship with Mike began in kindergarten, then Christ King grade school and Marquette High School. We spent a lot of time together, many fond memories of camping and trips into nature. We were brothers. Mike was also the first person to take me to an AA meeting and introduce me to the 12 step program. His intervention in my life help me turn it around. He held his beliefs fiercely. I am sure he is at peace now. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Mike Maroney

Michael reached out to me at a point in my life when I was having trouble with alcohol. He visited with me and convinced me that I should get treatment, recommending the Dewey Center, which I did. My experience at the Dewey Center changed my life and got me on the road to success in life. Mike followed up with me taking me to 12 step meetings for the next year or so. But for Mike´s intervention in my life I do not know where I would be today. Loved Mike. He was a loyal friend, who had a tremendous sense of humor and an incredible mind. Praying for the Zalewski family and all those who loved Mike.

I fondly remember going to grade school with Mike at Christ King. I had a "sleep over" there at some point and remember the spiral staircase in their Tosa house. I thought that was the coolest thing ever! Mike was always a good guy and remained friendly with me through Marquette High, after which we lost track of each other. I send sincere condolences to the entire Zalewski family.
