Michael Jonathan Zigmond

Michael was a mensch, committed to doing the right thing in the service of humanity. This was evident in his dedication to science and the scientific community. He was always generous, among other things seeking to assist students become the best they could be, especially those who could benefit from some added mentoring. I cherish the times I spent with him, feeling myself boosted by his positive energy and commitment.

Years ago, when Michael taught a summer ethics course at Woods Hole, he took many of us students on a long bicycle ride around the Woods Hole area. He always incorporated many fun such events into his passion for teaching. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
