Our beloved Micheal Jeremiah Atwood, known affectionately as Jeremiah, passed away suddenly on August 8, 2025, at just 18 years old. Though his time on earth was brief, Jeremiah lived a life filled with faith, love, and light that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Jeremiah was born on May 24, 2007, in Austin, Texas, to Patricia Ann Clark and Donald Atwood and was lovingly raised by Anna Reed Green and Sherman Green Jr. He was baptized at a young age at St. John College Heights Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Michael D. Harvey. Jeremiah faithfully participated in the St. John District Association, competing in many BTU competitions where his dedication and spirit of excellence always shone.
A proud graduate of Del Valle High School’s Class of 2025, Jeremiah was a bright young man with big dreams for his future. He was known for his warm smile, his laughter that could fill a room, and the kindness he extended to everyone around him. Jeremiah’s life was rooted in love — love for his family, his church, and his community — and that love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Clark; his grandfather, Clyde Clark Sr.; and his special grandmother, Margaret Rogers.
Jeremiah is survived by his Special Parents, Anna Reed Green and Sherman Green Jr., mother, Patricia Clark and father, Donald Atwood, one sister, Latori Clark, of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Kendrick Clark, Tommy McVae Jr., Sherman Feilds-Green, and Gregory Green, all of Austin, Texas; his grandmother, Patricia Jackson, of Austin, Texas and special grandmother Sharon Thompson Cleveland, of Austin, Texas. He also leaves to cherish his memory his three uncles, Charles Clark and Jimmy Clark of Austin, Texas, and Clyde Clark of Killeen, Texas; four aunts, Lula Reed, Latonya Clark, and Lori Mathis, Shelia Green, all of Austin, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews, a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and countless friends.
Though Jeremiah’s journey on earth ended far too soon, his faith, love, and joy continue to live on in all of us. His life was a precious gift, and his memory will be cherished forever.
