Michele Shea Gullette

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michele Shea Gullette. Michele was born in Dallas, Oregon, on April 16, 1955, the first daughter of Charles Franklin Johnson and Shirley Ann (Baker) Johnson. She left this earth far too soon, on October 30, 2025, at her home in Florence, Oregon, surrounded by her immediate family, listening to some of her favorite music.
Michele attended school in Willamina, Oregon, and shortly after graduation married her high school sweetheart, Richard Mishler, in 1976. Together, they brought their son, Talon, into this world. Their marriage may not have lasted a lifetime, but their friendship continued until the end. Michele married Gary Stephens in 1979, and with him had two children. Their daughter, Megan, was Michele's best friend from the moment she was born. Michele then married the love of her life, Vince Gullette, in 1988. They were married at the Ponderosa Ranch on the set of Bonanza in Nevada, and the two of them then shared a lifetime of adventures, living in various states throughout the northwest. Michele suffered from dementia during the last couple years of her life, and Vince, ever faithful, took incredible care of her up to the moment of her passing. Michele enjoyed sewing and quilting, remodeling and decorating homes, and all things Willamina. Her most treasured activity was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to read to them, attend their various school functions and birthday parties, and never missed an opportunity to watch her older grandsons wrestle or play football or baseball. She lived her life as the most amazing daughter, niece, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend, and we will forever miss her smile and her laughter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, a brother, Bill, and her son, Niel. She is survived by her husband Vince Gullette; her son, Talon Mishler (and Kerrina) of McMinnville, Oregon; her daughter, Megan Aldrich (and Dale) of Newport Oregon; her grandsons, Talon Mishler, Jr., Tyler Mishler, and Kye Aldrich; her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Mishler; her mother, Shirley Johnson, of Sheridan, Oregon; her brother, Kelly Johnson, of Sheridan, Oregon; her sister, Kim Curl (and Eugene) of Willamina, Oregon; many nieces and nephews and their children; many other extended family members; and countless lifetime friends that will forever be considered family.
Please join us in celebrating Michele's life on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grand Ronde Tribal Community Center, 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Oregon. Please bring your favorite dish and your favorite memories for a potluck reception immediately following the service.
