Michele Lavell Obituary
Michele C. Lavell, 56, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Abington, PA, and raised in Allentown, PA, she has been a longtime Hamilton area resident most of her adult life.
Michele enrolled in medical classes at Mercer County Community College, where she earned both her associate's degree and her Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certifications. These achievements led to a fulfilling career at RWJUH at Hamilton and St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown, PA. Later, when she stepped away from full-time work, Michele continued to share her knowledge by teaching others the skills needed to become successful CMAs. She took great pride in her work, always caring deeply for her patients and putting their needs first, and truly loved her career.
After retiring for health reasons, Michele took the time to learn how to make "Sunday gravy" from her patient husband and mother-in-law, Diana. She embraced her husband's love of traditional Italian dinners, though her own favorite meals were often Mexican. Michele also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and cooking. Above all, her family meant the most to her, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her loving husband and their two beloved feline companions.
Predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Claudette (Jost) Mathis; she is survived by her her beloved husband of 25 years, William L. Lavell; her father-in-law, Ronald Lavell and his wife, Diane; beloved felines, Buddha and Ishtar; dear friends, Suzette Ramiriz and Crystle Leggett; as well as other relatives and dear friends.
All services are private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton, NJ.
