Michele "Mickey" Kay St. Cyr, 80, beloved sister, cousin, and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in a local care center in Sioux City, Iowa. Born on December 26, 1944, in the same city, Mickey was a vibrant presence whose warmth and laughter touched the lives of many.

Her career began in the cosmetics department of Younkers and later transitioned to the Woodbury County Auditors Office. However, it was her more than two decades at GenPro Building Supplies in Sioux City that defined her professional journey, concluding with her retirement in 2011.

Mickey was known for her infectious smile and captivating personality. She engaged those around her with her remarkable conversational skills, complemented by a unique blend of sarcasm, wit, and strong opinions that made her a memorable figure in every gathering. Among her many interests, she cherished the music of Elvis Presley, affectionately known as "The King," and admired the music of John Prine. A lover of literature, Mickey was particularly fond of crime novels by Carl Hiaasen. Her enjoyment of life's simplest pleasures often included a well-crafted Bloody Mary made with Russian vodka and cherished evenings spent with the "Farkle gang," where laughter and camaraderie abounded every other Saturday night for years.

Mickey is survived by her brother, Mark St. Cyr, several cousins, and cherished friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Preceding her in death were her parents, Marvin and Toni St. Cyr, and her brother, Jeff St. Cyr.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honor Mickey's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 6, 2025, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the remarkable life of a woman who brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone she met. A brief graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
